Keys to achieve or maintain a healthy weight is regular exercise and good nutrition. Some people think that exercise and a good diet requires much effort or planning. But this is not true. In fact, the best way to make them work in life is to make small changes that gradually become a part of our routine.
We all managed to make the changes that are already embedded in our lifestyle - learn to brush their teeth, for example. Here is the information you need to make these other healthy habits just as easy.
Regular exercise
Teens should do 60 minutes or more of physical activity per day. Note the word "activity": As long as you get your body moving, not necessarily complicated exercise or go to the gym every day. What matters is that each week you get a balance of activities, such as aerobics, strength and flexibility exercises. Make exercise a habit by scheduling some every day.
On days when you have soccer practice or an aerobics class, you may have no difficulty in exercising for an hour or more. But most of us are busy, and 60 minutes a day of activity seems a long time. The good news is that it is well divided into short breaks "exercise" throughout the day.
Like you could have a healthy snack that prevents you from being hungry, snacks exercise can maintain high levels of energy. So get up 15 minutes earlier and do some yoga or other stretching activity. Brisk walking or jogging for 15 minutes at noon. Do the same after school - or walk or bike home. Add to that the stairs, gym class, and walking between classes during the day, and is likely to be reached within 60 minutes.
